I Was Wrong

I have a confession to make. I was wrong about something. I used to think that failure was NOT an option. But I think that failure IS an option.

Watch the video and have a discussion with your class or someone you know. Below, there are some suggested questions or writing prompts.

I would rather try and fail than fail to try. Failure is a part of the learning process. It is a great teacher when we decide to not let failure define us but drive us to a better place.

Having failures is something we have to be willing to risk in order to have success. We live in a world where we see success all over the place. Viral videos and huge influencers can make it seem like success happens automatically. It doesn’t. We usually do not see the struggle and hard work it took for people to be successful.

We all are a work in progress. We are still learning. Be willing to fail and you will continue to grow. Turn your losses into lessons.

Questions for Discussion:

Do you think that failure is an option or not? Why?

Are you afraid of failure? Why or why not?

Do you think that people make success seem too easy? Why or why not?

Can you think of a failure you had that helped you on the way to a success? Would you like to share it?
