Get Up and Keep Doing This!

It's a new year. Time to get up and start working on those goals, right? Well, yes and no.

Do you start the new year with lofty aspirations to make drastic changes to your life, only to quickly fail to accomplish your goals?

When this happens you probably feel like an utter failure.

I'm here to tell you that,

“Failure is not final.”

Failure is a part of success. You probably already know that. But what do you do after failing?

Keep moving forward.

One of my favorite quotes by Martin Luther King, Jr says this,

“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”

Don’t let your failures define you. Let them drive you to a better place.

QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION:

Do you make New Year’s resolutions? Why or why not? If you do, what kind of resolutions do you make?

What kind of goals do you set for yourself? Are they the same as your New Year’s resolutions?

What goal or resolution did you set for yourself that you did NOT accomplish? How did that make you feel? What did you do next?

What goal or resolution did you set for yourself that you did accomplish? How did that make you feel?

Do you think failure is a part of success? Why or why not?

Do you have any quotes or words that inspire you to keep moving forward?
